I tried googling the issue but my knowledge of terminals is so limited (nonexistent) that the resources were not helpful. If someone has some resource suggestions of getting more literate with the terminal window and pip and other stuff that exists outside the Mu text editor, I'd appreciate that as well. Hoping someone can help me get these modules installed and I'll be on my way to finishing chapter 6 and beyond. I am clueless when it comes to programming in general and this pip install business is even worse. Here's a photo of the offending command prompt window. Yet I receive the error "no such file or directory," even though I have downloaded the automate-win-requirements.txt file and it is on my desktop. Pip install -user –r automate-win-requirements.txt ––user I'm trying to install all the required modules using the pip command: I have really been enjoying Automate the Boring Stuff with Python, although I have reached an impasse with installing 3rd party modules. Plt.scatter(numbers.x_list, numbers.y_list, s=5) Return Frequenc圜ount(frequencies, a_min, a_max) Self.x_list = Īrray_list = * scaling for i in ( Is there a way to do so without it getting too deep into the complicated stuff?ĭef _init_(self, frequencies, a_min, a_max): This IS the refactored version (I used to have a nested for loop), and now I don't know how to make this run any faster. Anyway, so I wrote this code, and it takes ages to run, but my CPU is hardly a tenth full. The reason I made it is that I wanted to test my hypothesis at what exactly () did, even though I read the documentation through and through (I think I finally get how the multidimensional case works). I made this code and was disappointed at how slow it was. Now, once you understand what is virtual environment then venv is just a library to create virtual environments. So, we use virtual environment to separate our project dependencies and work separately on multiple projects without affecting the installation in the global environment which comes when we install python. The earlier install of pygame with version 1.0.1 won't be affected. or create a new environment (apart from that global environment which we will call virtual environment) and install pygame 0.8.0 in that environment.uninstall existing version and downgrade to the 0.8.0.Now, suppose you want to work on a project which requires pygame's version 0.8.0. Suppose you have a package named pygame with version no 1.0.1. When you install python on your system then you have created a non virtual (i like to call it global ) environment because if you install any package in python using pip install then that install will send the package in this global environment. py -> build\lib\pyperclipĬreating c:\program files (x86)\python38-32\Lib\site-packages\pyperclipĮrror: could not create 'c:\program files (x86)\python38-32\Lib\site-packages\pyperclip': Access is deniedĮRROR: Command errored out with exit status 1: 'c:\program files (x86)\python38-32\python.exe' -u -c 'import sys, setuptools, tokenize sys.argv = '"'"'C:\Users\Lucas\AppData\Local\Temp\pip-install-sq1ou8px\pyperclip\setup.py'"'"' _file ='"'"'C:\Users\Lucas\AppData\Local\Temp\pip-install-sq1ou8px\pyperclip\setup.py'"'"' f=getattr(tokenize, '"'"'open'"'"', open)( file ) code=f.read().replace('"'"'\r\n'"'"', '"'"'\n'"'"') f.close() exec(compile(code, _file_, '"'"'exec'"'"'))' install -record 'C:\Users\Lucas\AppData\Local\Temp\pip-record-mqypdrbw\install-record.txt' -single-version-externally-managed -compile Check the logs for full command output. py -> build\lib\pyperclipĬopying src\pyperclip\ main. errorĮRROR: Command errored out with exit status 1:Ĭommand: 'c:\program files (x86)\python38-32\python.exe' -u -c 'import sys, setuptools, tokenize sys.argv = '"'"'C:\Users\Lucas\AppData\Local\Temp\pip-install-sq1ou8px\pyperclip\setup.py'"'"' file='"'"'C:\Users\Lucas\AppData\Local\Temp\pip-install-sq1ou8px\pyperclip\setup.py'"'"' f=getattr(tokenize, '"'"'open'"'"', open)( file) code=f.read().replace('"'"'\r\n'"'"', '"'"'\n'"'"') f.close() exec(compile(code, file, '"'"'exec'"'"'))' install -record 'C:\Users\Lucas\AppData\Local\Temp\pip-record-mqypdrbw\install-record.txt' -single-version-externally-managed -compileĬwd: C:\Users\Lucas\AppData\Local\Temp\pip-install-sq1ou8px\pyperclip\Ĭopying src\pyperclip\ init.
